Are you looking to create a VO ANIMATION DEMO REEL? Develop and record a brand new Animation Character Reel with this seven week intensive with Portia Scott from Coast to Coast Talent Agency!

Week One – ORIGINAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Discover your character strengths in the world of animation! Work with Portia Scott to uncover what is in the wheelhouse of your voice and hone your vocal identity as you look towards developing original characters and jumping into script analysis.

Weeks Two & Three – WRITING ORIGINAL CHARACTER DIALOGUE
Using the preparation from the first week, weeks two and three will be dedicated to writing copy for your own original character! With Portia’s help, you will create dialogue for a character of your own creation that is a great fit for your unique voice.

Week Four – FINALIZING CHARACTERS & NEW ASSIGNMENTS
Each student will finalize their original character and will also be given three animated characters from scripts assigned by Portia. You will explore the differences between original characters and existing copy.

Weeks Five and Six – WORK ON CHARACTER SCRIPTS
These weeks are all about developing and polishing all the material you’ve been given. You will hone your four characters in preparation for recording your demo reel.

Week Seven – RECORDING YOUR DEMO REEL
Take everything you’ve learned over the course of the class and bring it into the recording studio to lay down your brand new one-minute demo reel! We will fully master your reel so the audio quality is top notch and add music/sfx to one of your characters to make it really pop! You may choose to add music/sfx to additional characters, or record extra material, for an added fee. In the event that the recording studio is not able to reopen by the final class date, students will be given the option to home-record demo material to be edited by our sound engineer, or wait for an appointment in the recording studio once it is able to safely reopen.

All tracks will be mixed by our engineer so they sound great. You may choose to include as many characters as you would like, but your chosen material must total no more than one minute. All characters will be mixed and one of your characters (your choice) will include music and/or SFX to enhance your performance. You may opt to add music/sfx to additional tracks, to give it a professional feel from start to finish. Additional music/SFX tracks are priced at $49.99 per character, and will be professionally mixed by our sound engineer. If you would like to include more than one minute of copy, there is an additional fee of $30 per extra 20 seconds, plus an additional $49.99 per character for any additional music/sfx.
